The partnership has a national profile and an excellent track record in workforce development projects designed to enhance National Occupational Standards.
SWWDP’s brief was to develop a website which could provide a repository of learning materials and communication tools for the discussion of these materials. A multi layered permissions system was requested which would support both the development and delivery phase of projects.
The first project to be uploaded to the learning management system was ‘Supporting the Learner Journey’ and included Word documents, PowerPoints, audio files, PDF’s and an extensive library of over 60 short film clips.
The Learning Management System includes: A documents repository, learning paths, chat facilities, forums, quizzes, email, tracking systems and an online conferencing suite. Not dissimilar to the popular E-Learning tool “Moodle” used by schools and colleges throughout the UK.
To increase the access to the project materials further, a flash application with the projects key resources were provided on branded USB flash drives to Trainers and Learning Support Practitioners.
"The Learning Platform for the CPD LSC-funded project has really elevated the status of the project across the sector nationally."
Haydn Thomas, Project Manager
